Matt Bazyn joined Fallbrook in June 2004 as an Engineering Manager and is one of Fallbrook’s first employees. He is currently the Director of Product Development Operations with overall responsibility for the prototype shop, metrology, and quality (testing).
Prior to joining Fallbrook, Matt worked as a Senior Engineer, Project Manager at the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in San Antonio, TX. SwRI is one of the oldest and largest independent, nonprofit, applied research and development organizations in the United States and has done considerable work in areas in or related to the automotive industry. SwRI did the first formal evaluation of the invention that ultimately became Fallbrook’s NuVinci® technology and several other Fallbrook employees also previously worked at SwRI
Matt began his career working for three years as a mechanical engineering intern for B.F. Goodrich. He then served for less than a year as an Engineering Contractor at Caterpillar before he joined SwRI.
Matt holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana.
