Russ Whisler joined Fallbrook in July 2013 and is currently the Director of eBike Programs. He is based in Germany where he has a lead role in the development and support of products,in conjunction with Fallbrook’s licensee and business partner, Continental Corporation.
At Fallbrook, before moving to his current Germany-based position, Russ held the position of Commercial Product Manager and was the central resource and interface between new partners and licensees; marketing, engineering, and legal teams. He also had bicycle product management responsibilities. His initial position at Fallbrook was Engineering Program Manager responsible for the program management of multiple transmission commercialization programs for automotive and light vehicle applications.
Prior to joining Fallbrook, Russ held a series of increasingly responsible positions at Polaris Industries. Polaris is a recognized leader in the power sports industry with 2015 annual revenue of $4.7 billion with its headquarters in Medina, Minnesota. The company engineers, manufactures and markets snowmobiles and a variety of other off-road, all terrain, and on-road vehicles. Polaris also manufactures Victory and Indian motorcycles. Russ initially participated in a two-year Engineering Development Program at Polaris and then went on to hold the positions of CAE (computer aided engineering) Engineer, International Power Train Quality Supervisor in the Monterey area of Mexico, and Motorcycle Product Leader for Victory and Indian Motorcycles in the Greater Minneapolis-St-Paul area.
Russ holds a BSE (multi-disciplinary degree) in Automotive Engineering/Finance from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and a Master of Business Innovation from CEDIM in Monterey, Mexico.
