Scott McBroom rejoined Fallbrook in January 2017 as Director of Licensing and Business Development reporting to Aaron Shagrin, Vice President of Licensing and Business Development. Scott was employed by Fallbrook from 2006 to 2015, first as Program Manager for Technology Development, subsequently as Program Manager for Continuously Variable Accessory Drives, and ultimately as Director of Engineering Business Development.
Prior to rejoining Fallbrook, Scott was Executive Consultant, Co-Founder of the Denali Consulting Group, which provided consulting services focusing on technology commercialization, with interests in advanced automotive, microelectronics and cognitive computing.
Before his initial employment at Fallbrook, Scott was employed for 18 years at Southwest Research Institute™ (SwRI) in San Antonio, TX, one of the nation’s leading independent automotive research and development laboratories. He held increasingly responsible engineering positions at SwRI and ultimately served for 8 years as the manager of Advanced Vehicle Technology Section. In that role, he developed and managed a technology portfolio that included hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems, hybrid electric vehicles, hybrid hydraulic vehicles, software development, fuel cells, automated manual transmissions, and engine accessories for both civilian and military organizations.
Scott holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park and an MSME (MS - Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
